Alphorn Legacy, Echoes From The Alps
Lou grew up in the Swiss Alps, splitting her time between working the hay on the family farm and practicing the alphorn. At 13, she's about to face the music at her first competition—an event that will draw 30,000 spectators from across the region. Guided by her grandfather, who picked up the instrument again thanks to her, Lou embodies a generation for whom the alphorn isn't just an instrument: it's in their blood, a mountain pasture heritage passed down through the ages. Lou must juggle rehearsals, playing with her three siblings, and long days in the mountain pastures tending the cows. This documentary explores how the folklore of Alpine traditions has weathered the test of time and still attracts each new generation.
