From small isolated stations to the futuristic Shinkansen bullet train, from rice fields to mountains, from bustling cities to peaceful countryside, this documentary explores characters and landscapes quite different from the ones we are familiar with. A train photographer, a designer, a traveller and writer, a blogger and a manga artist take us on a discovery journey through the many facets of a country at times devastated by natural phenomena, but somehow always magnified by the genius of its inhabitants.
