How to explain this tragedy that took place in a peaceful village in the Jura, where the couple lived with their three children? On the surface, the tragedy could only partially be accounted for by financial difficulties and sentimental bankruptcy. But how does one explain the drift of a situation where a helpless victim against the hold taken on her partner is eventually raped and murdered? The children, their mother's sister, and also friends of the couple agreed to testify in order to understand the mechanics of this emblematic drama. Each year, nearly 90,000 women are intentionally killed by their partner or ex-partner throughout the world.
