Antibiotic resistance is, according to the WHO, one of the most serious threats to global health. Multidrug resistant bacteria modify our microbiota and the environment. They are responsible for the death of 700,000 individuals every year around the world and the nimbers are steadily increasing. Some of us are unaware of living with such bacteria, traces of which can be found in the stools. Through an experiment conducted on a hundred people, this survey explains the ins and outs of this global threat, as well as the strategies considered by scientists to curb the phenomenon.
