Prospera: Pirates Of The Caribbean
Investigation into the private libertarian city of Prospera. Located off the coast of Honduras and bankrolled by tech and bitcoin billionaires like Peter Thiel and Brian Armstrong, it's a dream come true for advocates of rolling back the state. Run by a private American corporation with its own laws and system, Prospera is a self-governing libertarian enclave populated by biohackers and immortality enthusiasts. Patri Friedman, grandson of free-market economist Milton Friedman, has found his promised land there. But this haven of prosperity and luxury raises eyebrows when the vast majority of Roatan's residents are scraping by below the poverty line.
