For the first time ever, a European film crew follows in the footsteps of a former jihadist who escaped the Islamic State noose after spending three months in Syria. With his agreement, the crew retraces his journey from his home in Switzerland to Syria to join the jihadists. Sébastien decided to leave the terrorist group early, after only a few days in Syrian training camps. He spent 54 days in Islamic State jails before returning home in March 2014. Thanks to Sébastien's story, our journalist was able to unravel the complex web of Swiss jihadist recruitment networks.Other young people are unable or unwilling to leave the extremist group.
