Sharing Mountain Rescue In Nepal

Bruno Jelk and Gerold Biner are key figures of high mountain rescue. Over the years, they realized that the Nepalese had to be autonomous to perform their own rescues. The generous project took a decade to become a reality. But who would have thought at the outset that this training program would test the resolve of both teams in such a painful and dreadful way? After a Nepalese pilot and his assistant lost their lives during a rescue at over 6,000 meters, the temptation run high to throw in the towel. But thanks to the courage , determination and nerves of steel of Bruno, Gerold and Siddartha, the Nepalese chief pilot, the story of Nepalese high mountain rescuing went ahead.
