Incest Victims, Stories Of Survival

Watch Video
PDF
They are between 16 and 72 years of age and some of them speak out for the first time ever. Most incest victims, children of silence and pain, use raw and heavy words to speak about child abuse, in keeping with the weight that has kept them suffocating for years. Their childhood was broken, defiled by a father or an uncle. Out of the six incest survivors testifying in this report, two were heard when they were children. The others remained walled up in silence or illness for years. Yet all of them are intent on breaking the taboo so that incest stop destroying lives. For each abused child bears a lifetime trauma and liberation of speech is always a necessary step in rebuilding one’s life.
